Now it gets interesting. I see on the newsgroups a fellow who wants someone to haul away a broken arcade for free! Nice! I made sure I was the first one
to respond. Now I really didn't know what I was getting, only that it was free. It happened to be a black&white Double Play arcade. Hmmmmm... wasn't
counting on black and white. So I haul this thing home, try some minor troubleshooting and determine to take a different course of action. I would turn
it into something else! Well I decided to make it a Mr. Do's Castle, something I enjoyed on a trip to Iowa with my Grandma when I was a little guy. There
was one of these at a mall and she was fascinated by me playing this game. Got some change grandma? She sure parted with her money much easier than my
mom did. Good ol' grandma. After that, it was a favorite of mine. So I take all the parts out of the cabinet and sell the PCB to some guy in Australia.
I then purchased a Mr. Do's castle PCB and marquee. Now the best transaction was an ad I answered on Craiglist. Some kid was converting his Neo Geo arcade
into a Mame machine. I traded him a spare used computer monitor for the arcade monitor, Neo Geo PCB and cart, power supply, isolation transformer and wiring
harness. These parts helped me convert this cabinet into my very own Mr. Do's Castle!
